Apply Samajik Suraksha Pension Yojana in Bihar
Samajik Suraksha Pension Yojana is a social security scheme launched in Bihar. According to this scheme, Rs. 200 will be provided to the senior citizens of the BPL families. The scheme is also for widows, disabled individuals, helpless and bonded laborers. They are eligible to get Rs. 100 per head per month.
About Samajik Suraksha Pension Yojana
- The scheme is provided only to those who belong to the below poverty level. This scheme is aimed towards the weakest section of the society, that is, those within the BPL families who are even more disabled.
- Those who are between ages 60 and 65 will receive a Rs. 200 worth of pension every month. For everyone else a pension of Rs. 100 shall be provided. Earlier the state government that it will provide Rs. 75 but later Rs. 25 was added to this scheme.
So what are the eligibility criteria?
- The eligibility criteria are that if you are a resident of urban area, then you must have an annual income not exceeding Rs. 5500. If you reside in the rural area, then you’re annual income must not exceed more than Rs. 5000.
- If you are above 60 years of age, then you will get this benefit. If however, you are a widowed person or disabled individual then the age limit will not apply to you. This means that you can get this scheme without any imposed age limit.
How to register for Samajik Suraksha Pension Yojana?
You can register for Samajik Suraksha Pension Yojana in Bihar by submitting the related application in the Office Block. The applications shall be received by the Block Development Officers, who will then send the recommendations of these applications along with the original application to the sub divisional level.
But all you have to do is submit it to the officials. Once they receive it, you shall start receiving the benefits. Your application has to be authentic, so that the block development official passes it on. Once the circle officer is satisfied with your application, your pension scheme shall begin.
How to receive the pension?
You can receive the pension under this scheme through a camp. Special camps shall be set up in your area every month. You have to visit this camp to receive your pension. Hopefully with the advent of the digital India initiative, individuals shall be able to receive the pension directly into their bank accounts through M-transfer.
